WATL Western Regionals Axe Throwing Tournament - November 2021
Fall Axe Throwing Regionals, November 12-14, 2021 at FlagTagAZ
- Big Axe – Friday starting at 4 PM
- Meet and Greet – Friday Evening at 7 PM or after Big Axe
- Regular Hatchet – Saturday starting at 10 AM
- Duals – Sunday – Starting at 10 AM
Important things to know:
- Sign ups close at midnight of November 7th
- Must have competed in a WATL fall regional league. Please refer to the rules on the WATL website for the full requirements to qualify as some exceptions are allowed.
- Registration starts two hours before competition time and must be checked in 15 minutes prior to the start of the competition. Practice will start one hour and 15 minutes before competition with no practice 15 minutes before competition.
- 20% off food and beverages at the facility
- Outside food and drink (No alcohol) is permitted, however FlagTagAZ does have a menu for food and beverage. Attendee’s will qualify for a 20% discount on food and beverage.
- Hatchets:
- All outside axes will be inspected prior to throwing to ensure they are safe to throw
- House axes will be made available for regular hatchet only
- WATL hatchets and replacement handles will be made available for purchase while supplies last
- Closed toe shoes are required for all throwers
- COVID-19 Rules will be dependent upon CDC recommendations at that time. Currently they are: unvaccinated people must wear masks at all times. Masks strongly recommended for all participants.
- Prizes will be given per a schedule to be posted at registration. At a minimum 1st, 2nd and 3rd will get a cash prize upon completion of appropriate tax forms. Additional prizes possible. 50% of entry fees will be used for the prize pool per discipline.
- Flagstaff is at about 7000 feet altitude, be aware of recommendations for activities at altitude, such as hydration etc.
