FlagTagAZ

Hot Pizza. Cold Drinks. Zero Downtime.

The FlagTagAZ Cafe keeps the whole crew fed without leaving the fun — oven-baked pizza and snacks right beside the games.

Casual Dining, Zero Fuss

Hunting for restaurants in Flagstaff that work for a real group — picky kids, hungry teens, and adults who just drove up from Phoenix? The FlagTagAZ Cafe is the easy answer. We're a casual pizza cafe inside Flagstaff's family entertainment center on historic Route 66, which means dinner comes with laser tag, arcade games, ax throwing, and darts instead of a wait for the check.

Everything is made to feed groups: whole oven-baked pizzas, easy sides, and drinks that come out fast so nobody loses their lane time. Order at the counter, grab a table overlooking the action, and let the food land while the next round loads. No reservations needed for the cafe — and if you're planning a birthday party or group event, food packages are built into every package tier.

Why Families Pick the Cafe Over a Sit-Down Restaurant

Flagstaff has great dining downtown, but with kids in tow the math changes: parking, waits, and a table full of restless players. At the cafe the kids are entertained before the food arrives and after it's gone — parents actually finish a slice while it's hot. It's the same reason sports teams, birthday crews, and road-trip families heading to the Grand Canyon make us the dinner stop: fast, affordable, and nobody has to behave.

It also solves the classic Flagstaff group-dinner problem — half the table wants pizza, half wants to keep playing, and somebody's cousin is still mid-round on the crane game. Here, nobody has to choose. The table is twenty steps from the lanes, the refills keep coming, and the evening runs on your schedule instead of a server's.

The cafe serves during all business hours, afternoons through late evening — check today's times on our hours & info page or just book a session and build dinner around it. Want the full plan for a day in town? Start with our guide to fun things to do in Flagstaff.

Feeding a Crowd: Parties, Teams & Events

The cafe really shines when the headcount climbs. Every birthday party package includes pizza timed to land right when the games wrap, so the party room smells like victory and pepperoni at the same moment. Teen parties get their own space and their own pie count (order more than you think — teenagers after two hours of laser tag are a force of nature).

For large groups and company events, we build food into the quote: whole pizzas staged in rounds, sides on the table when you arrive, and drinks handled so the organizer never has to think about it. Sports teams coming through Flagstaff for tournaments use us as the win-or-lose dinner stop — one bill, one location, and the post-game energy goes into the arcade instead of a parking lot.

How Locals Do a Dinner-and-Games Night

The playbook after hundreds of family nights: book your first activity for about thirty minutes after you arrive, order pizzas when you walk in, and play your opening round while the oven works. The food hits the table exactly when the first-round appetites do. Stack a second activity after dinner — darts and the arcade are the classic wind-down — and nobody spends a minute of the evening waiting.

Visiting on a road trip? We're a straight shot off I-40 between the Grand Canyon and Walnut Canyon, which makes the cafe a favorite refuel stop for families doing the Northern Arizona loop. Check the full list of fun things to do in Flagstaff to build the rest of the day around dinner.

Cafe Hours & Location

The cafe is open whenever FlagTagAZ is: Monday through Thursday from noon, later starts on weekends, with the kitchen running until close. We're at 1801 W Route 66, Suite 102 in Flagstaff — five minutes from downtown and NAU, right off I-40. Hungry group on the way? Call ahead and we'll have pizzas timed to your arrival.

Parking is free and right out front, the whole building is stroller-friendly, and yes — you can absolutely come in just to eat. Plenty of Flagstaff locals do exactly that on weeknights, though we've never once seen a table finish dinner without somebody drifting toward the arcade.

Dinner and Games, Sorted

Book your activities and the food takes care of itself — the cafe is steps from every arena.
